Barind college of Nursing Sciences

Barind college of Nursing Sciences (BCNS) is established in 2016 which is located at Vodra, Padma Abashik, 179/1 Choto Bongram, Chandrima, Rajshahi.

At first BCNS secured approval for Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery (3Years) Course by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH & FW) on January 2016 for 60 seats.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery

S.S.C & H.S.C / Equivalent examinations passed from any group and any education board. Must have a total GPA of 6.00 in SSC & HSC or Equivalent from any group.

B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic)

S.S.C & H.S.C / Equivalent examinations passed from Science Group with Biology from any education board securing minimum total GPA of 7.00.

Modern classrooms, advanced labs, and real hospital experience under one roof.

Barind College of Nursing Sciences has multimedia classrooms. All of the classrooms are fully digital, well decorated and excellently furnished with around 100 students comfortable sitting capacity in each. They are very spacious, student friendly and tech savvy. Our teachers conduct classes here using multimedia projectors, computers and sound systems.

Our classrooms are bright with welcoming space where our students learn new things every day. Each classroom has enough desks and chairs for all the students, arranged neatly in rows. The walls are decorated with colourful charts, maps, and drawings related to nursing profession, health care services as well as food and nutritions.

Besides, BCNS has its own two exam halls. They are superbly equipped and provide all the required opportunities to conduct standardized examinations and tests for the nursing and midwifery students.

Barind College of Nursing Sciences has Fundamental Nursing Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Nutrition Lab, Midwifery Lab, Biochemistry Lab and Computer Lab facilities. Our Fundamental Nursing Lab exposes students to equipment used for giving patient care in a practical way.

Our Physiology Lab is a dedicated space where students learn and practice physiological concepts and procedures. It provides hands-on experience that complements theoretical knowledge and enhances understanding of the human body’s functions.

BCNS Midwifery Lab facilitates students’ clinical learning in nursing and midwifery. It provides a safe and realistic environment for students to practice, experiment, make mistakes, and learn.

BCNS also has a well-equipped Computer Lab with broadband internet connection. It provides access to software libraries and helps students gain practical computer application skills.

Barind College of Nursing Sciences has an enriched library where books belonging to different subjects and genres of nursing and midwifery are stored. It is a spacious library with large and rare collections.

Students can visit the library regularly and explore books apart from their syllabus. This practice develops a habit of reading among the students of Barind College of Nursing Sciences.

Students can borrow books for a specific period and return them on time. The BCNS library teaches the value and importance of books and helps broaden students’ knowledge and outlook.

Nursing Fundamentals Lab: Core of Clinical Excellence

The Nursing Fundamentals Lab trains students in core clinical skills through realistic simulations. Learners practice vital signs, wound care, and medication administration using advanced manikins under expert guidance. This safe environment builds technical proficiency and clinical judgment.

By combining theory with practice, the lab prepares students for real healthcare settings. Graduates enter clinical rotations confident in delivering safe, compassionate patient care. The program creates competent nurses ready to excel in diverse medical environments.

Our training and placement department understands the industry trend and has tailored its liaisoning policies with corporate hospitals. Students are also placed at Ramaiah hospitals. Some corporate hospitals that have recruited our students are Columbia Asia Hospitals, Medanta Medicity, Fortis, Apollo, and HCG, for their branches in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, etc.
